Caesar George was born at Prior Park. He was appointed one of the Irish Poor Law Inspectors in 1839, which post he held for twenty-four years. After many years of ill health, he died, aged fifty-eight, at Monkstown, Co. Dublin on 21st September 1867. On 7th June 1846 he married Elizabeth Hannah, only daughter of Thomas Batt of Belfast and Rathmullen House, Co. Donegal. They left four children.
