Mona Mary Otway who was born in Invercargill, came to Auckland with her parents as a child and attended a private school in Mount Eden and then went to "Craven" in Palmerston North. She married Kenneth Richardson and they farmed on Sir Andrew Russell's property at Hawkes Bay and subsequently at Te Paki Station in the far North. MONA and KEN had the following children:

John Richardson who established his own paint and wallpaper business in Dominion Road. Auckland. He married Lyndsav Franklin and they have the following children: John Richardson who is a chef and lives in Brisbane. Suzanne Richardson who is at University. Stuart Richardson who is attending St. Kentigem College. Michael Richardson married Gwen Herbert. He was a farmer but is now a boat builder at Silverdale. They live at Manly on the Hibiscus Coast and Michael is at present building his own yacht. Michael and Gwen had the following children: David Richardson who is with Air New Zealand. Jennifer Richardson is married with two children, Patrick and Melanie who are both at schcol. Mary Jane Richardson is the manager of the Auckland Savings Bank at Takapuna and is married to Wayne Chatfield.

Mona Mary later married Robert Whiting-Harrison and they farmed at KeriKeri and later at Clevedon. MONA and ROBERT had a son Kim Whiting-Harrison

Kim married Natalie Thonason and have two children: Tracey and Gregory. Kim later married Jennifer Ripley and they have a son, Gregory and a daughter, Tracey. Kim now has a fishing business in the Gilbert Islands and sells the catch in the Hawaiian Islands.

Mona Mary is now living at St. Heliers in Auckland.
